CADAFE cuenta con una planta termoeléctrica ubicada en Morón, estado Carabobo, denominada Planta Centro, la cual está en operación desde 1978. Es el complejo termoeléctrico más grande de América Latina. Tiene una capacidad instalada de generación de 2.000 MW, a través de cinco unidades de 400 MW cada una. Es una estación térmica que utiliza agua, aire y combustible (fuel-oil) como materia prima

En estos últimos 4 años, Venezuela ha pasado por una series de apagones a nivel nacional
por la incompetencia del estado en el mal mantenimiento de la plata termo eléctrica más "grande" de América latina. Vean una muestra de las condiciones de dicha planta.

Muchos jóvenes me han preguntado: ¿cómo es posible que esto esté sucediendo? O ¿Por qué la gente no hace nada si somos la mayoría?, con todo respeto voy a utilizar la lectura de un libro La Peste, de Albert Camus y así tratar de explicar porqué no actuamos como deberíamos. Los sucesos comienzan en una ciudad llamada Oran, en Argelia cuando un joven doctor tropezó con una rata muerta en el descanso de su escalera.

Como no habían ratas en su casa, pensó que se trataba de una broma y lo único que hizo fue apartarla y notificarle al conserje. Al día siguiente este último fue quien le notificó al doctor que el bromista había dejado otras tres ratas muertas, pero ambos siguieron su camino.

A partir de allí el libro relata las distintas reacciones de los ciudadanos al ver los montones apilados de ratas muertas, unos exclamaban "a mi casa no han llegado", otros decían "son cosas que pasan", algunos se frotaban las manos alegremente afirmando que las ratas "finalmente estaban saliendo de su escondite", otros se marchaban sigilosamente, pero la mayoría -como en Venezuela- siguió con sus vidas inmersas en el día a día y viendo cómo crecían los montones de ratas, nadie hizo mucho.

Las ratas desaparecieron como llegaron, de forma imprevista y la ciudad respiró, hasta que apareció el primer muerto -quien para asombro del lector- fue el conserje que encontró las tres ratas. Poco a poco, la sorpresa se convirtió en miedo y ésta en pánico cuando la gente comenzó a morir como las ratas, pero aun así nadie hacía mucho.

Cuando eso llega, apenas en las primeras 30 páginas, Albert Camus, se incorpora al relato para hacer las siguientes reflexiones: "La plaga no está hecha a la medida del hombre, por lo tanto el hombre piensa que la plaga es irreal, es un mal sueño que tiene que pasar". "Nuestros conciudadanos, a este respecto, eran como todo el mundo; pensaban en ellos mismos; dicho de otro modo, eran humanidad: no creían en las plagas", "las gentes se dicen: 'Esto no puede durar, es demasiado estúpido'". "Pero esto no impide que dure", -porque- "la estupidez insiste siempre".

En nuestro caso nadie creyó cuando el "líder del proceso" habló de socialismo. ¿En pleno siglo XXI? Nos dijimos - "Esto no puede estar pasando, es demasiado estúpido", pero la primera recuperación de tierras se convirtió- como las ratas, en 4 millones de hectáreas arrancadas de sus dueños. A la primera empresa expropiada pensamos lo mismo: "debe ser esa únicamente, porque es demasiado estúpido" y de allí cerraron 8 mil empresas.

Han pasado los años y pensamos: "en el 2012 terminará esta pesadilla". Pero terminará siempre y cuando los venezolanos entendamos que este asunto de sacar a Venezuela del infierno en el que ha estado sumida, es responsabilidad absoluta de todos nosotros. Acabará cuando comprendamos que vivir en Democracia y ser ciudadanos de una Nación, es cosa muy seria. Seremos de nuevo un País, solamente cuando entendamos que no podemos continuar sentados en nuestras casas esperando al "líder de la oposición" para que nos saque del atolladero. Los pueblos que hoy son libres y prósperos no tienen líder, porque el "líder" de un País civilizado, es su pueblo indignado que un buen día decidió no aceptar más vejámenes y salió a la calle sin miedo a apoyar a aquél que clamó a los 4 vientos lo mismo que su corazón le increpaba.

Podemos hacer que cambien las cosas. Si no lo hacemos este año, la estupidez continuará insistiendo hasta que el ciclo termine, pero con nosotros.

El asesor para asuntos económicos de la Presidencia de Nicaragua, Bayardo Arce, aseguró hoy que Venezuela ha prometido mantener una donación para que unos 130.000 empleados públicos continúen recibiendo, en 2011, un bono salarial de 25 dólares mensuales.

"Nosotros hemos dicho al FMI que la Alianza Bolivariana de las Américas (ALBA) ha prometido que va a mantener (la donación) para el bono el próximo año", señaló Arce a periodistas.

El asesor económico del presidente, Daniel Ortega, indicó que el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) había planteado su inquietud sobre la fuente de ingresos para sustentar los23,2 millones de dólares mensuales que se requieren para mantener ese bono en 2011, que es un año electoral.

Arce explicó que como la cooperación venezolana se maneja fuera del presupuesto de la nación, el FMI dio el visto bueno para que el Gobierno de Managua tenga en las reservas del Banco Central de Nicaragua (BCN) un fondo equivalente al bono, por si fuera necesario.

"Tenemos plena seguridad, porque así nos lo han dicho (las autoridades venezolanas), de que vamos a contar con ese fondo el próximo año para mantener el bono", sostuvo el funcionario.

Las declaraciones del asesor presidencial se produjeron el mismo día que la prensa local informó de que diferentes sectores han mostrado preocupación por la decisión del presidente Ortega de pasar unos 500 millones de córdobas (unos 23,2 millones de dólares) de una futura reforma presupuestaria a las reservas del BCN como garantía del bono salarial.

El Ejecutivo comenzó a entregar el bono, sufragado por la cooperación venezolana, en junio pasado a funcionarios con salarios menores a los 260 dólares al mes.

Ese incentivo ha sido cuestionado por la oposición y el empresariado local porque es gestionado fuera del presupuesto con el riesgo de generar inflación, lo que el Gobierno niega.

These medics get only $300 put in an account. They can not read the bible, they can only read Fidel Castro's political material.

Did CHAVEZ BELIEVED THAT HE CAN BE THE KING OF AMERICA?     We are tired of all leaders being afraid of Chavez, who tells crude to insults everyone, that treats everyone like idiots, and that no leader is capable of facing and telling NO MORE  We're tired of seeing how close Chavez unabashedly media in his country and attempts to penetrate the media in other countries to export its obsolete and delusional revolution.  

We are tired of Chavez with his millions to fund terrorist groups, plant bombs, kidnap, rob and kill. We are tired of having a president that is not ours, that insults us, sings like a madman in public speaking, as if he was in private taking care of his bare necessities. He is ordinary, obscene and insulting.

We are tired of having a president so rude, so repulsive, so dirty with such influence in the continent.     We're really tired that Chavez is so hypocritical and so confusing that one side speaks against interventionism (interference by one country in the affairs of another), and the another is the most interventionist president ever existed.   But the Latino people have grown tired. Chavez does not represent us, we have not elected him, Chavez is an insult to humanity, is an eyesore, and we all strongly opposed.    

So on Friday, September 4, we will go out in a giant world march around the world: Venezuela, Colombia, Spain, USA, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, etc.. To tell the world that we are TIRED OF CHAVEZ, that the whole world knows who the real Chavez is and we oppose such a president so irresponsible to humanity.   There is not much time left , forward this message to all our contacts, let us get spread like a wildfire. Send this message especially to our friends overseas or who are abroad, because this will be a historic, unique, a stunning blow, the moment when the whole world, that whole Latin America rejected the insanity of Chavez forever ...

Chávez no nos representa, y no lo hemos elegido, Chávez es un insulto a la humanidad, es un adefesio, y todos lo rechazamos rotundamente.  

Así que el Viernes 4 de Septiembre, saldremos en una gigantesca marcha mundial los pueblos de todo el mundo: Venezuela, Colombia, España, Estados Unidos, Chile, México, Perú, Argentina, Brasil, etc. Para decirle al mundo, que estamos CANSADOS DE CHAVEZ, que el mundo entero sepa quien es el verdadero Chávez y cuanto rechazamos que exista alguien tan irresponsable para la humanidad.  No tenemos mucho tiempo, reenviemos este mensaje a todos nuestros contactos, reguemononos como pólvora, en especial pasemos este mensaje a nuestros amigos extranjeros o que se encuentren en el extranjero, porque esto va a ser un momento histórico, único, un golpe demoledor, el momento en el que el mundo entero, en que latinoamérica entera rechazó la locura de Chávez para siempre...

Dear reader, I've just learned today that Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez is prohibiting violent video games in the country. According to several news sources, my own experience and stories like this one, Venezuela has become one of the most violent countries in the world.

I don't like violent video games but I don't think that banning them from the country is going to help reduce the daily crimes that are happening in that country. As a matter of fact, I believe that it will never work. The pirate market in Venezuela is so healthy that we will see that the distribution of these games will increase in the following weeks. You can bank on it.

Querido lector, me he enterado hoy que el presidente venezolano Hugo Chávez va a prohibir los juegos de video violentos en el país. Según varias fuentes de noticias, por mi propia experiencia y lo que le paso a mi amiga, Venezuela se ha convertido en uno de los países más violentos del mundo.
A mi no me gustan los video juegos violentos, pero no creo su prohibición vaya a ayudar a reducir los crímenes diarios que están sucediendo en ese país. De hecho, creo que nunca va a funcionar. El mercado pirata en Venezuela es tan saludable que vamos a ver la incrementación de distribución de estos juegos en las próximas semanas.

Venezuela, known for its real world violence is taking a stand that would make Jack Thompson proud

When things seem bad, cheer up, at least you have the freedom to buy video games. Just as some countries, such as Iran are beginning to experience new found eras of gaming joy, another one is looking to cut gamers off. Venezuela is taking a rather baffling stand against violent video games.

Apparently very much against digital violence, President Hugo Chavez's administration has launched legislation in the nation's National Assembly, which looks to ban the sale of violent video games such as Grand Theft Auto and prevent the sale of toy guns. The government insists the move is essential to curb street violence.

Venezuela is currently one of the most dangerous countries in South America. In its capital of Caracas dozens of people are estimated to be murdered daily, mostly in petty muggings or drug disputes. Hugo Chavez, though, insists that reports of 100,000 people being murdered in the country since 1999 are lies from private media, though he admits that the nation's crime problems are quite bad.

The bill passed one vote and must now pass a second vote and be signed by Hugo Chavez in order to become law. Mr. Chavez, an ex-military officer and vocal socialist, is urging the assembly to vote the bill into law. He and many members of the country's National Assembly believe that video games are warping the minds of Venezuela's youth and causing violent tendencies.

In America, some groups and individuals such as the infamous Jack Thompson have fought hard to ban violent video games. Their efforts, however, have met with less success in the U.S.

There is a memo written in May 12, 2009 (see image) that appears to be from the Venezuelan military authorities addressed to their own people encouraging them to be whistle blowers when they get an electronic message that opposes or insults the current government. I wonder what would happen if someone gets cut?

The memo below reads (this is a direct translation)
All military personnel that receives via the Internet (text messaging, or other media, emails) insulting messages, critical or analogies of different natures, contrary to the system of government which presides our commander in chief, Lieutenant Colonel Hugo Chavez Frias, shall notify immediately the content received, to his natural command or the Intelligence Directorate of the Bolivarian National Army, through the mails: CGENBDIRINTEL@yahoo.es and CGENBDIRINTEL_CI@YAHOO.ES phone/fax - 0212-605-5603

My two cents: This video disgusts me and embarrasses me, but it motivates me to spread what is going on in Venezuela. I was not in the country when this happened and honestly, never saw all the action in detail. Notice that the common denominator in the images of the attackers is just pure hatred. This TV station's motto was something like "La televisión del pueblo" The television of the people. But, as you will see, the very same people represented by them poured out a rain of non-sense violence over the reporters, cameramen, vehicles and facilities.

These stories happened a little while back. The TV network (RCTV: Radio Caracas Televisión) was under attack by people that was influenced by the Chavez{s administration and it got closed down. Today they operate via cable TV. They created this video.

Please read the transcript but also, see what is happening on the top left of the screen as each journalist and cameraman tells theirs story. Watch the video!

I am not a writer, so bear with me here alright?. All I did was write and translate to the best of my abilities what the journalists have to say in the video.

All these stories occurred in Venezuela, 3 hours south of Miami by plane.

Let us take a look at the threats and aggression suffered by the those who fight to keep being the voice and the eyes of our democracy.

The presindent of Venezuela annouced the law to expropiate acres and acres of farms that belongs to wealhty Venezuelans with the premise that it may not belong to them, they may not have proper documentation. The land they have is a consequence of stealing it with violence from the poor in the past.

The following is a translation of most of the information provided by the president in program aired last month on national TV.

They have a farm just to come on the weekend, for vacations. They celebrate with whiskey, rum, and fiesta... that has to end...

If you wanna work the land, go and work it... it is not to show off, to say, "I have a farm", I have a great truck"... no, no, the land must be worked... the land belongs to that one whom works on it.

The land is not private, is it properly of the nation...just like the oil... if I find oil in that house, it belongs to the Nation. It is not yours.

Everything got worse with time. Those days I used to tell them; that land does not belong to you... do you have documents?

Most of these lands, these big properties are product of the dispossession, the violence against the peasants, against the Indians, against the poor.

A law that is about to be aproved by the Venezuelan congress.

The following three articles are in the New Education Act introduced in the National Assembly by the Venezuelan president:

Article III: Since the validity of this law, parental rights of persons under 20 years of age shall be exercised by the state through people or organizations in which this delegated authority. "

Article IV: "Every child will be cared for by their parents until reaches the age of 3 years, after that the child must be committed to the to the Organization of "Circulos Infantiles" (sort-of infant clubs organization) for their education as well as physical, mental and civic capacity. This organization is authorized by this Act to provide for the custody and care of the person exercising parental rights of these children"

Article V: "The Children's Circle Organization will issue predictions for all children aged between 3 and 10 years remain in the province of residence of the parents and trying to be taken into the homes of the same not less than two days per month not to lose contact with the family. "

Artículo IV: "Todo menor de edad permanecerá al cuidado de sus padres hasta tanto cumpla la edad de de 3 años, pasados los cuales deberá ser confiado para su educación física y mental así como para capacidad cívica, a la Organización de Círculos Infantiles organismo que por esta Ley queda facultado para disponer la guarda y cuidado de la persona y ejercicio de la Patria Potestad de estos menores".

Artículo V: "La Organización de Círculos Infantiles dictará las predicciones necesarias para que todo menor de edad comprendido entre los 3 y 10 años permanezca en la Provincia donde residen los padres y procurando que sea tenido en el domicilio de los mismos no menos de dos días al mes, para que no pierda contacto con el núcleo familiar".

Este último artículo agrega que "pasados los 10 años, todo menor podrá ser asignado para su instrucción cultural y capacitación cívica al lugar que más apropiado sea para ellos, tomando en cuenta los más altos intereses de la nación.

Al Instituto Nacional de Deportes, Educación Física y Recreación, corresponderá hacer todas las predicciones encaminadas al mejor desarrollo físico y deportivo de los menores de edad tutelados por la Organización de Círculos Infantiles".

This video was created by a TV station in Italy. They went to Caracas and inside a pharmacy they interviewed this Venezuelan assasin.

Here is a small script of what they talk about in the video:

Interviewer: How many people have you killed?

Man: I can't tell you because is it a professional secret, more or less 12!

Interviewer: How do you feel when you are about to kill someone.

Man: I feel a bit happy because I know I am going to get my money.

My gun's name is Petronila (a 9 mm) because it takes the life away of all those who breathe.

You have to have experience, have decision, cold blood so you don't hessitate when you are going to take someone out.

Interviewer: Do you believe in God?

Man: Yes. look I have it in my heart (he shows a cross necklace). I was an aluminum can recycling boy, I was in a gang, I got 17 shots in my body... I was 7 years doing crack. My intestines were messed up because of I got shot several times... I used to pee from my stomach.

God is good with me because he knows I am fair. I don't kill anyone that does not deserve it. All I kill are just rats (bad people)

Interviewer: But isn't God's decision who dies and who does not?

He pauses for a second...and then he says ...

Man: nope... He [God] decides but his law is not here on earth. The law of being a rightful man but those whom don't have that law should die because they are unrighteous.

A dear friend of mine married a Venezuelan citizen.

On a trip to Caracas to meet the rest of the family, her husband got stopped in the middle of a main road by a group of policemen. Upon lots of interrogation to make sure he was a Chavez supporter, he then was asked to prove it by turning over all his money. When he did not produce any cash from his wallet because he wasn’t carrying any, they put him in handcuffs and told him he was going to jail. He begged and pleaded for them not to take him to jail. The policeman’s solution was to take him at gunpoint to the ATM machine. He took was told to take out the maximum and gave it to the policeman. The policeman then asked him to drive him back to the road block and then wished him a good day.

As a Venezuelan citizen myself, I decided to start this blog so the entire world will know the reality that most Venezuelan and tourists have to deal with almost daily.

Venezuela is a beautiful country with beautiful friendly people but in the last few years the crime has gone way too far.

Please join me to post all things you think are unfair, report crimes, send photos, etc. We must tell our unknown story.

Una amiga mia americana se casó con un cuidadano Venezolano.

En el viaje que hicieron a Caracas para conocer el resto de su familia, el esposo de mi amiga fué detenido en el medio una avenida principal por un grupo de policías (gracias a Dios que ella no estaba con él en ese momento).

Después de una serie de preguntas para indagar si él estaba a favor de Chavez (si era chavista), la conversación llegó al punto de que él tenía que demostrar su apoyo dando dinero al interrogador. Pero como él no tenía dinero en su cartera, lo esposaron y le dijeron que lo iban a detener (en otras palabras, que iba preso). El esposo de mi amiga le pidió y rogó al policía que no lo detuviera. Entonces su solución fué la de proponerle a el esposo de mi amiga con pistola en mano (amenazándolo con la pistola) que fueran a un cajero automático para retirar dinero. El policía tomo lo máximo que el cajero automático le dió y le dijo al esposo de mi amiga que lo llevara al lugar donde fué detenido y le dijo que tuviera un buen dia.

Como ciudadano Venezolano indignado me propuse abrir esta página para que todo el mundo vea la realidad que viven a diario los venezolanos y turistas en mi patria.

Venezuela es un país bello con gente bella y amigable, pero en los últimos años el crimen ha incrementado exponencialmente.

Por favor, únete a colocar en esta página cosas que te parezcan no son justas, reporta los crímenes, manda fotos, etc. Debemos decir nuestra verdadera historia que la mayoría del mundo no sabe.
